Hi! My name is Kiersten Johnson and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 10, 8 years ago this Spring.
I wanted to create this website to make information about this disease easier to access. This past Fall,
I was able to put this dream into reality! I’m not the most patient person, so I wanted the websites to have
short descriptions, telling me what I would find information about quickly. This wasn’t all for me though,
of course. I hope that this site can be of use to other people looking for information about Type 1 Diabetes:
what it is, how to live with it, and keeping up to date with others who live with it.
A bit about me personally: I like to bake (yes the irony), read, travel, and watch movies. This year I am going
to graduate from Mountain Vista High School and plan to attend college in the Fall. I’m super excited for this
new opportunity and I know that I’ll be reading several of the blogs on this site telling me more about what
it is like to live on my own with Diabetes!
